Draft Website
Anyone who has undertaken any building work will know how difficult it is to imagine what the finished product will look like. Plans are one thing - converting a plan into reality is quite another.
As the actual construction process gets underway, it is usually a good idea to be on-site in order to monitor progress and become fully informed about what is going on. It is our aim to try to simulate this on-site feeling by involving
clients as much as possible during the construction of their website.
The first phase lies in the building of a purely text-based working website which takes little time to build, but has no graphics and is not very efficient. The client will have access to the draft site on the internet at all times. In this way, all changes made during development can be monitored and if any area is not acceptable it can be rectified immediately. This feedback
gives us a clear idea as to whether we are heading in the right direction.
This technique also presents the client with:
a demo site - a demonstration of how the site would work
content - an overview of how the content has been arranged by main topics and sub-headings
missing content - a clear picture of the content which already exists and is acceptable and that which still needs to be written
navigation - a working example of how a visitor would be able to navigate around the site
menu buttons - a choice of suitable navigation buttons
images - photographs or graphics required for the site
