How is the success of a website measured?
In a 'normal' business it is easy to assess whether it is performing satisfactorily simply by observing the number of customers and the purchases made.
A website on the internet is exactly the same. Examination of website statistics will provide similar information. Regular,
up-to-date and easily understood statistics are available showing:
number - how often the site has been visited
origin - from which search engines or websites each visitor came
pages - which pages were accessed
visitors - details of repeat visitors
